Incomplete but not Broken

Have you ever felt broken? Have you ever gotten to the point in your life where you aren't sure if you can do anything right? Or that there must be something terribly wrong in your genetic make up that makes your imperfections not only numerous but painfully noticeable? I know I have felt all of these things at one time or another. But my Dad showed me an analogy once that has really stuck with me. He showed me a picture of a line of cars being assembled. Much similar to the cars in this picture. His message was along the lines of: "Look at these cars.  They are missing doors, seats, wheels and a bunch of other things..... but would anyone in their right mind say these cars were broken? No, that would be a ridiculous statement. In fact when finished these cars will be sold for thousands of dollars. Once finished they will have all the parts necessary to perform and function for the purpose they were designed. Though they are incomplete right now they are not broken by any definition of the word." He related this to how we are all on the "assembly line" of life. All of us focusing on what we are missing and mistakenly thinking we are broken or damaged when in fact we are just incomplete. I know this is so true! Because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can be successfully assembled. So the next time you feel broken remember who can make you feel complete. He knows everything we have ever or will ever go through. He can give us peace and comfort and guide us literally day by day! I know that this happens as we daily and diligently seek Him through word (Bible, Book of Mormon ), prayer and action. The next time you feel discouraged remember that He is waiting with arms wide open for you to allow Him to help you put together the pieces.

And believe me.... we need His help!

Talk about a leap of faith!

Have you ever stopped to think about the faith of a child? The complete trust they have in those around them? Think about the simple example of when you place them on a counter or a table and then step back and say "okay, now jump!" That table is most likely twice if not three times their height, and the impact of their fall would be very painful; but almost every time, they jump. They throw caution to the wind, relying on the fact that you have caught them before, and they jump.
We learn in Matthew 18:3-4 about being childlike:
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
I know that in one way, becoming childlike requires us to trust Him like a child! No matter where you are in life at one time or another God lovingly places you on the table of trial or the counter of uncertainty and says "Okay, now jump". I testify that it is those times we can choose to grow closer to our Heavenly Father! He is waiting with open arms to show us the way. I know that it is only by following in his way that we can be truly happy in this life and in the life to come!

“When you get to the end of all the light you know and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: either you will be given something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly.” ― Edward Teller

Did you know God never answers NO?

We have been given a gift from our Heavenly Father. The creator of the universe has made it possible for us to communicate to him through prayer. He has told us through His word in the scriptures (2 Nephi 32:8-9,2 Chronicles 7:14) that He desires to hear from us in prayer. But we often are hesitant to pray and to truly solicit the Lord's help because we are worried his answer might be. We avoid asking our Heavenly Father for blessings because if we don't ask he can't say No. I would like to propose that God NEVER answers No.  He never answers No but He does answer our prayers!

I have heard it said that He will answer in one of three ways

1. He will say "Yes!"
2."Not right now"
3. or "I have something much better in mind"
Because He is all knowing and because He loves us, He is truly the only one who can give us the answers and the blessings we need. The answers to our prayers will always be greater than we could have ever asked for if we allow God to show us His love!

Families can be together forever!

I have a family here on earth.
They are so good to me!
I want to share my life with them through all eternity!
FAMILIES CAN BE TOGETHER FOREVER!
Through Heavenly Father's plan
I always want to be with my own family and the Lord has shown me how I can! The Lord has shown me how I can!

I know that God loves each and everyone of us! He shows us this love in many different ways! One of the ways he has shown his love for me is by sending me to a kind and loving family! They have taught me everything and are great examples to me of how to be more like Jesus Christ. I know that they aren't perfect, no family is, but I am eternally grateful for the strength that their love, support and prayers bring into my life! I know that God has a plan for each of us and that it is a plan of HAPPINESS! He teaches us more about this plan in The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ! It supports the truths taught to us in the Bible and stands as a second witness that Jesus is the Christ and that God loves all of his Children!

Trust God and believe in Good things to come!!! :)

As a part of life we all have those times of trial. When it seems like nothing will ever go right. We are strictly focused on the present and our patience becomes very thin. It is at those times that we have an important choice to make. We can choose to turn to the quick but fleeting aid of the world and it's fair weather friends. Or we can turn to God. I can promise that it is only through turning to God that we truly be happy! I can promise that his love and his peace can consume your doubts, and fears and that he is waiting for you to turn to him with his arms wide open. I can promise that if you turn to him it will all be worth it. But don't just take my word for it! When troubles come get on your knees and ask him with a sincere heart and with the intent to do his will! Then like me you will know of his love and peace! Trust God and believe in good things to come!

Our hands can become his hands.

The Lord ALWAYS answers our prayers. But it is often through the service of others that they are answered. Our Savior Jesus Christ was the ultimate example of service and love and through the studying of his life and his word we can become more like him! I know that as I read the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ I am filled with the love of the Lord. I feel the guidance of the Holy Ghost more powerfully in my life and I am able to witness miracles in my life and the lives of others! I know it can do the same for you! The Civility Experiment

I loved this video because it reminded me to be kind to those around me and to treat others as Jesus would have treated them. He tells us in Matthew 5:25 "Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." and in Mosiah 2:17 (In the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ) "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." I know that we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father who wants to "love one another" <3

I am a child of God... and so are YOU!!!!

We are all children of a loving Heavenly Father. Because he loves us, he has a beautiful plan for each of our lives and is eager to guide us and help us everyday! I love the song in this video because it is so simple and reminds us of who we really are! I hope as you watch it you will pay attention to how it makes you feel. I know that when I watch and listen, I feel of the love that my Heavenly Father has for me and that there is always hope when I turn to him!
